Parent Forms
No Cook Play Doh Recipe

What You'll Need:

• 3 cups flour
• 3 tbsp. Cream of Tartar (1.5 oz.)
• 3 tbsp. veg. oil
• 3 cups boiling water
• 1½ cups salt
• Food coloring – Gel food coloring produces a more vivid color.

1: Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix with spoon to evenly distribute ingredients.

2: Add veg. oil and food coloring.

3: Add the boiling water (Food coloring can also be added to the boiling water right before adding the boiling water to the dry ingredients. The color seems to mix a little better this way)

4: Stir mixture. Mixture may seem too dry at first but it will get better as kneaded. Once it starts to bond together and becomes hard to mix, take it out of the bowl, throw it on a flour-dusted cutting board and knead until it takes on the lookand consistency of Play-Doh. It will be hot when you take it out of the bowl so be careful!!

5: Store in an air-tight container (Zip-loc bags work great!)

Nut-Free Snack List

We understand that this list is not all-inclusive and there are many other safe options out there.  Even if it is on this list, the label needs to be checked each time the product is purchased due to changes in manufacturing.  It is important not only to check for peanuts or nuts of any kind, but also the manufacturing process.  If an item says that it “may contain traces of peanuts/tree nuts” or “manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts or tree nuts,” we have to assume that these products are not safe.

BAKED GOODS

Generally not safe if made if made in a bakery or grocery store due to cross contamination.  Never bring anything homemade please!  Pre-packaged tend to be safer due to labeling laws.
